Description: This dataset shows the locations of Columbia Basin PIT Tag Information System (PTAGIS) mark/recapture/recovery (MRR) sites which are best represented by a polygon feature. A MRR site is a location where one of the following events may occur: a fish is captured and marked with a PIT tag and/or released; a previously PIT-tagged fish is recaptured; previously PIT-tagged fish is recovered post-mortem; a bare or loose PIT tag that was implanted into a fish was recovered. Locations can be fixed, such as a permanent man-made structure or prominent geographic feature, or a stream or stream segment. Note that this layer is part of a larger dataset, 'PTAGIS MRR Sites'.
