Service Description: The National Fish Habitat Partnership (NFHP) seeks to protect, restore, and enhance the nation’s fish and aquatic communities through partnerships that foster fish habitat conservation and improve the quality of life for the American people. It is guided by the National Fish Habitat Action Plan and is made up of 20 regional Fish Habitat Partnerships (FHPs), and a National Fish Habitat Board which promotes, overseas and coordinates implementation of the National Fish Habitat Action Plan. Both NMFS and and the PSMFC have a representative on the National Fish Habitat Board. NFHP created a project tracking database to document and share information about the partnership's conservation projects across the United States. These layers provide information about projects in the NFHP database. Projects range from on-the-ground restoration, coordination, outreach and education events, and species distribution and habitat assessments. Projects funded since 2006 are represented and data are expected to be updated annually.
