Coordinated Assessments Population Boundaries Layer. This is a modified version of NOAA's official Population Boundaries dataset available from http://www.westcoast.fisheries.noaa.gov/maps_data/Species_Maps_Data.html. Main differences include some value added attributes developed to support the Coordinated Assessments Project and the addition of some non-listed, non-TRT populations to support the sharing of data for species of concern. In these cases, the GIS_Source field indicates the source agency and basis for difining the boundary. In most cases, the geometry is derived from WBD ridgelines. NOTE: this published map service is drawing from generalized geometry (15 meter maximum allowable offset) to improve web app performance. A non-generalized / full resolution version of these data are available on request. Population attributes presented here were joined to the GIS Dataset from the "populations" table in the StreamNet_API database where core attributes are managed by StreamNet. PopID serves as the foreign key between the spatial and tabular dataset [last joined and updated on 20200826]. SuperPopulations are aggregations of defined populations and include groupings such as the MAFAC Stocks.

Draft data July 13, 2023

",
